Ansu Fati decides on his preferred destination amid transfer interest from Chelsea and Monaco.
Ansu Fati is getting closer to leaving Barcelona, it looks like he has chosen his next destination. The young forward has been in talks with AS Monaco, and even though other clubs like Chelsea have shown interest in him, Fati has reportedly made up his mind.

According to the Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, Fati wants to join Monaco for several reasons. One of the biggest factors is the way Monaco plays football. They focus on attacking and keeping possession of the ball—something that suits Fati’s style. On top of that, Monaco will be playing in the UEFA Champions League next season, which is a big opportunity for the 21-year-old to shine on a big stage again.
Barcelona also seems to agree that Monaco could be a great place for Fati to develop. The club believes that Monaco’s playing style and level of competition could help Fati regain his confidence and form after a tough period with injuries and limited playing time.
Talks between Barcelona president Joan Laporta and Fati’s agent, Jorge Mendes, are expected to continue. According to Què T’hi Jugues, the two are set to meet again soon, and it’s possible that a deal could be finalized very soon—maybe even this week.
The current plan is for Fati to move to Monaco on a loan deal. The agreement would likely include an option for Monaco to buy him permanently at the end of the loan. If everything goes smoothly, an official announcement about the transfer could come in the next few days.
This move could mark a fresh start for Fati, giving him the chance to play regular football and return to the exciting form he showed when he first broke into the Barcelona team.
