BREAKING NEWS : Real Madrid set to buy one these players as possible replacement for Luka Modric.

Luka Modric Set to Leave Real Madrid – Club Looking at Enzo Fernandez and Exequiel Palacios as Replacements.

Real Madrid are preparing for a big change in their squad this summer. Luka Modric, the Croatian midfielder who has been one of the team’s most important players for over a decade, is confirmed to be leaving the club at the end of the season. With his departure, the Spanish giants are now searching for someone who can fill his shoes in midfield.

Enzo Fernandez on Real Madrid’s Radar

One of the top names being considered is Enzo Fernandez. The Argentine midfielder currently plays for Chelsea in the English Premier League. Real Madrid were already interested in him back in 2022, especially after his impressive performances at the World Cup. At that time, Chelsea managed to sign him for a large transfer fee. Now, a few years later, Real Madrid are once again looking at him as a strong candidate to replace Modric.

However, signing Enzo won’t be easy. Chelsea are not willing to let him go without a fight, and they are likely to demand a very high transfer fee. Because of this, Real Madrid are also exploring other options just in case they can’t get him.

Exequiel Palacios Also a Target

Another player Real Madrid are thinking about is Exequiel Palacios. He is also from Argentina and currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen in Germany. What makes him an interesting option is his strong connection with Xabi Alonso, who is expected to become the next Real Madrid manager. Alonso and Palacios have worked together at Leverkusen, and the manager knows him very well.

Still, bringing Palacios to Madrid might not be simple either. Manchester City, one of the top teams in the Premier League, are also said to be interested in signing him. This could make the competition for his signature tougher.

Real Madrid have already been very active in the transfer market even before the summer window officially opens. They have confirmed the signing of young defender Dean Huijsen. Next in line is Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is expected to join soon. The club is also trying to finalize a deal for Alvaro Carreras before the Club World Cup begins.

With Modric leaving, Real Madrid want to bring in a new midfielder as soon as possible. Ideally, they’d like to have someone join the squad before the team travels to the United States for their summer pre-season tour. However, since Chelsea will also be playing in the Club World Cup, it’s unlikely that Enzo Fernandez would be able to join Madrid in June.

Because of this timing issue, Exequiel Palacios might have a better chance of making the move earlier. He could potentially join the team in time for their preparations in the U.S., giving him a head start in adapting to the new club and new teammates.
